From Shame to Chosen: Rachael’s Powerful Testimony | Testify

from Testify Life · host Testify Studios

In this life-changing episode, Rachael opens up about her personal journey of transformation—from living in shame to embracing the truth of being chosen. Her story will inspire anyone who has faced challenges and doubts. Rachael grew up bright, gifted, and deeply loved by her parents — but still felt unseen. In this powerful episode of Testify, Rachael shares how early childhood wounds, feeling invisible, and a longing to be "seen" led her into a cycle of toxic relationships, sexual abuse, addiction to alcohol, and even a suicide attempt as a teenager. From being labeled "boy crazy" in elementary school, to being targeted and abused by older boys, to an all‑consuming, controlling relationship at 14 and in court a year later over threats on her life, Rachael’s story reveals how shame can twist our sense of identity and worth. By university, she was in unhealthy relationships, facing an unexpected pregnancy, and feeling completely broken. But even in the darkest moments, Jesus was pursuing her.Through faithful Christian neighbors who welcomed her in, a church that prayed and fasted for her, and a pastor who showed up at her hospital bed after a suicide attempt, God kept reaching out. Rachael eventually hit rock bottom after a second unexpected pregnancy and years of running to relationships and alcohol to fill the emptiness. That’s when everything changed. Rachael’s story is a raw, honest, and hope‑filled reminder that broken people hurt broken people — but Jesus heals broken people. Jesus doesn’t just tolerate you — He came for you. He sees your story, your shame, your regrets, and He still calls you loved, forgiven, and chosen.Subscribe to Testify for more real-life stories of Jesus changing lives.-------------------------------------------------🔔 Get more encouraging videos each week!
