The guidance she received from her case manager, Michelle, was instrumental in unshackling her from the cycle of abuse and neglect. One hug literally melted the fear she had felt, daily.  Today, Denise stands tall, forever guided by these lessons that continue to shape her life journey. A chance encounter with Anchor House during an annual bike ride in her town presented her with an opportunity to share her story publicly.
