SC2023-0988 Citizens of the State of Florida, etc. v. Florida Public Service Commission The Office of Public Counsel (OPC) appeals the final order and the clarifying final order of the Public Service Commission (PSC) in a rate case filed by Florida City Gas, a subsidiary of Florida Power & Light Company. OPC challenges the PSC’s approval regarding reserve requirements, depreciation, and the continued acquisition adjustment. SC2023-0320 Mark H. Wilson v. State of Florida Wilson challenges his death sentences in the 2020 Putnam County murders of two boys, brothers of his girlfriend’s sister with whom they were living. He raises 11 issues in this appeal. SC2023-1000 Donald Otis Williams v. State of Florida Williams was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2010 Lake County murder of Janet Patrick. The trial court sentenced Williams to death after the jury recommended the death penalty by a 9-3 vote. In 2017, this Court affirmed Williams’s convictions but reversed his death sentence and ordered a new penalty phase. After being resentenced to death in 2023, Williams now appeals his death sentence and raises four issues
