  • Live Delay - Ep 150 - The Stress Of Leisure; Clever

    02/14/2016

Clever: Starting off in October 2014, CLEVER have wasted no time taking their chaotic noise punk shows up and down the east coast playing in Nambour, Brisbane, Lismore, Newcastle, and Sydney as well as scoring a ton of support slots for local and international artists. If they keep things up at this pace, you can expect to hear a lot more of them. The Stress Of Leisure: Formed in 2005 by vocalist and guitarist Ian Powne, and self described as ‘sub tropical post punk pop crossed with art school indie’ the stress of leisure has remained 100% independent and released a total of 5 albums all through their own record label over their mammoth career. Although the band members have not remained consistent, The Stress of Leisure continues to produce great songs with great choruses.

    Embrace The Void

Welcome friends, to a podcast for a darker timeline. Maybe the darkest of all timelines. Definitely not one of the good timelines. Maybe it’s always been a dark timeline, maybe the Hadron collider screwed us over. Science may never know. What we do know is that we live in the void. The void, a place where a chittering mass of void crabs can infest a person suit and win the presidency. The void, a place where we're just clever enough to know that climate change is happening, but not quite clever enough to do anything about it. The void seems terrible and cruel, but it loves you, in its own ironic way.

    NOCLIP

WELCOME TO NOCLIP! We are a fortnightly, book club-styled podcast in which we attempt to go in-depth on an individual video game and figure out what makes it unique. Episodes are around an hour to an hour and a half long and primarily feature free form discussion on themes and mechanics present in each episode’s titular game. Bear in mind that we are not reviewers, so as far as we critique the games at hand, our intent is not to convince you to play any particular work. SPOILER WARNING: Given the depth at which we intend to cover the games in question, those which feature a story, plot, mechanical surprises, fun moments you may not have heard about or otherwise will be fully discussed, likely at length. Given this, it is advised that you go into each episode with the understanding that these elements will most likely be spoiled. If you are sensitive to that sort of thing, we recommend that you either play the game before listening to the podcast, or skip the episode altogether. (Though

    Bloodsucking Feminists

We are the Bloodsucking Feminists, your number one Scottish-Kiwi podcast focussed on the three Fs: Fangs, Feminism and Fangirling. Once a month we will be discussing a different vampire-related text – which means not just books and movies, but also comics, video games and even musicals – from an intersectional feminist fangirl perspective. Nothing is free from problematic content, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find something to like too. So join us as over the next few months we discuss the Big 3 of British vampire fiction, totally not squee over Tom Hiddleston and Marc Liebisch, translate the foreign language that is Kiwi culture and hate on Michael Crawford and Roman Polanski (for very different reasons, of course).
