Funding has been allocated to extend the Falls Prevention Programme for another 26 weeks.The programme was initially launched in the Nazareth House as a pilot scheme led by Primary Care Physiotherapy staff.The funding was delayed due to industrial action undertaken by Fórsa members in the HSE, but was rolled out after the industrial action ended.The programme will now extend to other community partnerships in Sligo and Leitrim.Speaking to Ocean FM News, local Independent Councillor, Marie Casserly, hailed the importance of the project.
