Tom doesn’t want to go to college and Francis can’t stand for it. Robert supports Francis on this decision which causes a rift between him and Jackie (who also didn’t go to college). Diane catches a child shoplifter and ends up bonding with her. Cathy is back and although she seems to have good intentions initially it is crystal clear by the end that she just wants more of Robert’s money to take care of herself and their father.
