Gary Fowler and Martin Rajasalu: HR-Tech Evolution

In this Silicon Valley Tech & AI episode presented by GSD Venture Studios Gary Fowler interviews Martin Rajasalu. Martin Rajasalu, Co-Founder and CEO, Moticheck Martin has been working for 20+ years in the life insurance, and retirement asset management area. He studied business administration and banking at Estonian Business School which was and is the most business-orientated and modern university in the country. In his professional life, he did a short stint in the public sector and non-life insurance before he became a development manager in SEB Life Estonia after which he had a 10 year career in Nordea, the largest Scandinavian banking group. He was the CSO and COO in his management board member roles for the Estonian pension fund management company and in the pan-Baltic team, and worked closely with Nordic colleagues. The highlights were acquiring a competitor's retirement funds in 2014 and having a significant role in the merger of Nordea and DNB Baltic units to Luminor, a unicorn shortly acquired by Blackstone. He decided to quit banking and find a good use to my leadership know-how and entrepreneurial passion at the beginning of 2020, just before the covid crisis. His current startup Moticheck was founded in January 2021
