Gender: Always Straight To The Toilet

from Dano and Mason

http://joy.org.au/danoandmason/wp-content/uploads/sites/329/2018/05/Janet-Rice.mp3 Senator Janet Rice is once again in studio to talk about what’s going on in Aussie politics surrounding the topic of gender. With audio of national senator Barry O’Sullivan talking about the all to overdone issue with the “loo loo”, Rice also discusses the prevalent issue of trans “forced divorce”. Victoria is set to join Queensland in becoming one of the first states to end forced divorce for trans people under marriage equality. The state government is moving to eliminate the requirement in Victoria’s birth certificate laws that people correcting their gender must be unmarried. “I’m so pleased that the Victorian government has introduced this legislation,” said Rice. “Forcing trans people to divorce their partner before they can change their birth certificates is discriminatory. “I urge other states to remove this discrimination so that we can have full marriage equality.” Listen to Dano and Mason LIVE- Every Thursday 4:00-6:30PM The post Gender: Always Straight To The Toilet appeared first on Dano and Mason.
