Meanwhile, Atlanta topped out at 66. And by tomorrow night? Both places will be in the twenties. That's the kind of temperature crash that makes your closet weep. Here's the deal. Down along the coast, thunderstorms are rolling in by 5 P.M. tonight. Rain gets heavy around 25 degrees A.M., dumping one to two inches. But here's the gut punch. By Sunday morning, you're waking up to 31 degrees. That's a 50 degree freefall overnight. Wind gusts hit 18 miles an hour out of the northwest Sunday, and fire weather watches go up Monday. Avoid any outdoor burning. Dry air and gusty winds mean one spark could get ugly fast. Now head inland to Atlanta. You'll feel that northwest wind shift around 25 degrees P.M. tonight. A slight rain chance sneaks in near midnight. Sunday's high struggles to reach 48 degrees with gusts to 35 miles an hour. By Sunday night? Twenty five degrees. Your pipes will want a pep talk. Over in eastern Georgia, you're seeing highs near 70 today, but rain is likely tonight with patchy fog. Sunday flips the script. Upper 40s for highs, then 29 degrees by Monday morning. Gusts to 20 miles an hour make it feel even meaner. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Monday and Tuesday stay cold. Atlanta wakes up at 25 degrees Monday. The coast dips to 28. Wednesday brings a brief warm up back into the 60s, like Georgia remembered it's the South. Then rain returns Thursday and Friday, especially for Atlanta. One more thing.
