Right now you're enjoying the mid 60s in Atlanta. Coastal Georgia? Pushing 80 degrees with thunderstorms already firing. Soak it in, because here's the deal. By tomorrow morning, temperatures crash like they fell off a cliff. Let's start down along the coast. Savannah hit near 80 degrees this afternoon. Tonight those storms get serious, peaking around 25 degrees A.M. with heavy rain. You're looking at one to two inches. Lows settle near 55 degrees. Then Sunday delivers a 50 degree crash. Highs barely touch 64, and by Monday morning you're waking up to 31 degrees. Gale force winds at 21 miles an hour will make it feel even nastier. Head inland to Augusta and eastern Georgia. Scattered showers are wrapping up tonight. Patchy fog rolls in with lows near 49 degrees. Sunday clears out nicely, but highs only reach 57. That's 20 degrees colder than today. Now up to Metro Atlanta. You'll want to enjoy this evening. A slight chance of rain sneaks in around midnight, then temperatures tank to 38 degrees by 25 degrees A.M. Sunday's highs struggle to reach 48 with northwest winds gusting to 35 miles an hour. Monday morning? A brutal 25 degrees. Wind chills in the teens. One big thing. A Red Flag Warning kicks in Sunday for southeast Georgia. Humidity drops to 24 percent with those gusty winds. Cancel any outdoor burns. Period. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Monday stays frozen statewide. Highs in the 40s, lows in the 20s. Cover those early blooms. Tuesday rebounds slightly near 50 degrees. By Wednesday the 60s return, but rain moves back in.
