We have a right to get angry. But we don’t want to let our anger get us. How many times how we allowed our hurt and anger to cause us to do or say something that we regretted? How many times have we said something really hurtful that we didn’t mean? Had a problem in our relationship and did something we shouldn’t have with someone we shouldn’t have? Gotten into a physical altercation or broken something we paid good money for? We need to treat our anger like the way we would treat the engine light on a car or truck: Take it seriously. Find out what’s causing it. Address the problem as soon as possible. When we get angry, we need pause and process that anger rather than allowing that anger to possess us.I’m Horace McMillon.
