But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance andgentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Question: How do you flee from something that surrounds you? “…and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.” Lesson to Paul and Timothy, and us: We are not just called to flee but we are called to pursue! Timothy, takes off running.” Okay, what am I doing? “Well, you’re running away from something, but you’re chasing after something. It’s both.“ Take Home: Don’t define Christian life by the restrictions; define it by what you’re chasing after, by what you’re working towards. Why? Because, what you chase after, becomes what you desire . Understand, it is more about who you are than what you do. Understand, choosing a path of wisdom is not just running away; it’s more about what you’re chasing after. It’s more about what you’re pursuing, than what you’re fleeing from.
