Arthur Conan Doyle’s Memories and Adventures by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 - 1930) LibriVox Arthur Conan Doyle first published his memories of his many various adventures around the world and his relationships with such famous figures of the age including Oscar Wilde, Empress Eugenie and Prime Minister Arthur Balfour to name a few, in The Strand Magazine between October 1923 and July 1924. This memoir was later formed into a book and published in September 1924. A Step Toward Justice asteptowardjustice A Step Toward Justice examines historical and contemporary topics related to the reproductive justice movement and framework. In this six-episode series, the hosts, Dr. Justina Licata and Isabel Stephens discuss medical racism, eugenics and forced sterilization practices, abortion rights, as well as disability and LGBTQ+ activism. K. Chesterton The Author Gilbert Keith Chesterton was born in London, England on the 29th of May, 1874. Though he considered himself a mere "rollicking journalist," he was actually a prolific and gifted writer in virtually every area of literature. A man of strong opinions and enormously talented at defending them, his exuberant personality nevertheless allowed him to maintain warm friendships with people--such as George Bernard Shaw and H. G. Wells--with whom he vehemently disagreed. Chesterton had no difficulty standing up for what he believed. He was one of the few journalists to oppose the Boer War. His 1922 "Eugenics and Other Evils" attacked what was at that time the most progressive of all ideas, the idea that the human race could and should breed a superior version of itself.
