The crossing of the Israelites through the Red Sea is one of the most famous scenes in the story of the Exodus out of Egypt. But can it be that for the last couple thousand years, historians, geographers, and scholars have had the wrong sea in mind? Dr. Glen A. Fritz believes the answer is yes, and he’s here to tell us why. Well be discussing his recent book, The Lost Sea of the Exodus: A Modern Geographical Analysis (Fritz, 2016). Glen A. Fritz has been involved in the study of the Exodus geography for seventeen years. He holds a PhD in environmental geography from Texas State University-San Marcos. His doctoral dissertation, completed in 2006, pursued the location of Israel’s sea crossing.
