Wright is a New Testament scholar, Pauline theologian, and retired Anglican bishop. From 2003 until 2010, he was the Bishop of Durham in the Church of England. Since then he has served as the Research Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at St Mary’s College in the University of St Andrews in Scotland, and he is currently a Senior Research Fellow for the Wycliffe Hall Council at the University of Oxford. He writes prolifically about theology, Christian life, and the relationship between the two.
