Working to Thrive
Release Date: 07/29/2021
Description: If this episode is resonating with you, send us a message - we’d love to hear from you 🤍Welcome to Episode 16 of Series 2 where we're discussing the reasons behind why huge numbers of people are choosing to leave the workforce. We discuss our personal experience of stepping away from unhealthy work environments and feeling set free because we recognise that we want, and deserve, better for ourselves and our families. We dive into the prevalent issue of people not being paid a living wage, much less a thriving wage, and how that and the impact of COVID-19 on an already faulty infrastructure supporting working parents has resulted in reduced childcare places and higher costs of living all around. We dive into how coming from an empowered place of "I don’t need this job to make my life work" sets you up for a workplace that enhances and supports your work-life balance because you've been made the priority. Don't let the fear of not being enough set you up to fail in the corporate world - you deserve better!- Please check out our "Feminism 101" suggested reading list here if you're at a loose end for a great read from an Feminist author.- Find out more about the amazing artists, Nubefy, behind the graphics we use (though not on this episode) here

Just Thrive: Tina
Release Date: 01/06/2021
Description: Just Thrive Probiotics with Tina Anderson "Probiotic" has been a buzzword in the natural health industry for several years. Its properties can help restore gut health, improve sleep, aid digestion, and even relieve certain physical health issues associated with autism. Yet, there is still much to be learned about probiotics, and even more myths that need busting. Today we speak with Tina Anderson, co-founder of Just Thrive, a probiotic company that is redefining the way we produce and consume probiotics. Our conversation begins by taking a look at Tina's professional history, as well as what led to the creation of Just Thrive. After hearing about her experiences in the mainstream pharmaceutical industry, Tina tells us about how she and her partner were given the rights from London University to produce spore-based probiotics. Detailing what separates their product from the competition, Tina then explains the function of probiotics, why yoghurt isn't a good source of bacterium, and the reasons why refrigerated probiotics aren't as effective as spore probiotics. You'll learn about Lactobacillus Bifidobacterium before Tina teaches us about what makes spores so special - such as their hardy structure. As our conversation progresses, we cover other topics too, hearing Tina's stance on lobbying for regenerative farming, and the silver lining behind the pandemic. Toward the end of the show we discuss the sensitive topic of autism, as Tina tells us that while her product cannot be a cure for it, it can be a great supplement for those who have the disorder. To hear more about how you can use probiotics correctly, be sure to join us today!
