Grass-fed vs. Organic: Organic • If something says its 100% organic, then it’s organic • If something just says organic, then it’s 95.99% organic • Organic means without pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, or biosolids (sewage sludge) Grass-fed • There is no legal definition of grass-fed (it needs to be grass-finished) • Grain-fed beef is heavy in omega 6 fatty acids, grass-fed is not (omega 6 fatty acids are more inflammatory, omega 3 fatty acids are more anti-inflammatory) • Grass-fed beef has CLA, and more vitamin A and vitamin E Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, 51 years of age is a chiropractor who specializes in weight loss through nutritional & natural methods.
