Are we growing in our faith, or have we become spiritually stagnant? This powerful message from Hebrews 5 and 6 challenges us to move beyond spiritual infancy and pursue maturity in Christ. Just as we wouldn't expect an adult to survive on baby food alone, we can't thrive on spiritual milk forever. We're called to progress from the basic teachings of our faith to the 'solid food' of deeper understanding and discernment. This journey involves actively applying God's Word to our lives, not just hearing it. By developing spiritual skills through Bible reading, prayer, worship, and fellowship, we can gain the mind of Christ and a heavenly perspective. Let's not settle for elementary faith, but press on towards maturity, allowing God to equip us for every good work He has prepared for us.
