Growing Up A Minority

from How'd I Get Here Podcast · host How'd I Get Here Podcast

Growing up a minority is a difficult obstacle to overcome in life. However, some people have the experience of growing up a "double minority" meaning they're colored in a predominately white neighborhood. In this weeks episode we spoke about the challenges of growing up around peers who don't look like us. This could cause a lack of confidence and struggle in finding identity. It could cause shaming from your own people because you "speak white" or proper. Either way it is not something to look down on people for and we covered that and more in this weeks episode.
