Here are a couple bras Evangelina altered. The animal print bra shows the flat side foam lining cut out & the jersey fabric sewed flat. You can pinch the fabric to be flat, then sew it up & trim the extra. The blue lace bra shows how you can use safety pins to make the cup flat; you can then sew it & trim the excess fabric or just leave safety pins in place. This photo shows Evangelina Bustamante, age 24, in 1970 at a Chicana conference-the topics addressed sexism within civil rights movements & ways to take leadership roles in movements.
