Hanging out with Ink-A-Laugh - Comedy Collective Startup & Improv

from The Hangout with Rushdi · host Rushdi Rafeek

Hey guys, I (was forced to) sit down with Ink-A-Laugh comedy collective partners Akshat Davla & Rohan Chawda to talk about why the world needs another comedy collective, mainly them! My view is that we don’t but that didn’t stop them from doing so, much like Akshat knocking on my door in the early hours of the morning to get this interview done because their ship has begun sailing with cancelled visas and big dreams they plan to kick off rooms and add a little something new the Indian Comedy scene. Ink-A-Laugh formed in the UAE but has big plans for comedy outside. Apart from having spent time here within all the local art and comedy spheres they plan to take on the comedy world starting with India. I ask about the lessons they learnt, their strategy and of course, the point of it all. We cover a little on how improv works and just cover basics only because I couldn’t stop running my mouth.. I guess. I cant wait to chat with Ink-A-Laugh after a year to see how things unfolded and how much better they would’ve become. And yes I promise not a comedian on the next show! Like, share, comment, set your house on fire. You know, the usual.
