Be their shepherd and carry them forever. HAVING A Godly PERSPECTIVE To Have A JOY-FILLED Life, Pt. 1. 1. You need to FOCUS on HONORING Jesus Christ with your BODY (v.20) Philippians 1:20 (ESV) – as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. Philippians 1:18-19 (ESV) – What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice, 19 for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, )NKJV( 1:16 Romans – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Courage – Honored – Body – Romans 12:1 (ESV) – I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. A. You have been BROUGHT from DEATH to LIFE. Romans 6:13 (ESV) – Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. B. You have been BOUGHT with the shed BLOOD of JESUS. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV) – Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. LIFE Group Questions 1.
