Study Skills Class Debrief Part 3
Release Date: 07/01/2022
Description: STATMed Alumni Share the Worst Advice They Received As Struggling Med Students Not all advice is created equally. And bad advice can come from good intentions, as many of our former students can attest. In part three of this miniseries, Ryan is back with six recent STATMed Study Skills Class alumni. In this episode, they share the worst advice they received about how to study and succeed in med school. "That goes back to the bad piece of advice I'd alluded to was to memorize everything. And this was said to me by the same individual who told me that my previous medical experience doesn't matter, so I didn't necessarily trust the advice, but this goes back to this idea that it's possible to somehow work in a fifth or a sixth pass. And really, all that's doing, and we talked about this in this podcast before, but all it's doing is giving you this idea, this allure, this facade of familiarity. It's not actually giving you that experience, that touchpoint with the material."

Episode #20: Confident Women and the Men Who Love and Support Us
Release Date: 11/15/2021
Description: Confident is defined as “the feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s own appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities”. I further define it and own my own confidence as: “the feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s enjoyment of and gratitude for one’s own abilities and good qualities”. I reflect on my confidence and the memories and stories told to me at my 35th high school reunion 2 years ago - stories told to me by four former classmates, all men. I am grateful for their love and support of this confident woman. Oh, and their names have been changed.

As Told By Them
Release Date: 06/20/2021
Authors: Enactus LSE
Description: Through the hardships of sleeping rough, the homeless no doubt has a wealth of experiences to share. From stories of how they’ve managed to overcome difficulties to lighter tales of interesting things, they’ve seen on the streets, these usually unheard and side-lined individuals have so many lessons we can all learn from. With the creation of a podcast channel, we can tap into the vast potential of their individual stories. We aim to show that everyone has a story, to undo the de-humanising of the homeless so often seen in society, and to simply inspire more kindness and goodwill. The homeless will be given a voice, an opportunity to come forward and contribute their story, after which the podcast team will work closely and carefully with the contributor to transform the story into an engaging narrative, ultimately delivering a 15-minute podcast as the product. Beyond the podcast, the team will also be providing support to those who are part of the project. We see the podcast as the fir
