Hope in the Promise - A Lenten Journey

from Sound & Season · host Redeemer Community Church Birmingham

The Sound & Season podcast is returning! Join us starting on Ash Wednesday, February 18, as we begin our six-week study of the Covenant Promises of God. Over the forty days of Lent, we will reflect on the covenants we find throughout the Scriptures to ready our hearts and minds for the irrevocable brilliance of Resurrection Sunday. In keeping Lent together, we will number our days, forty days of fasting and reflecting on God’s Word, six days of feasting, remembering each Sunday that the victory is now ours in Christ. Every week, we will contemplate a covenant from God, culminating in the New Covenant established in the body and blood of Christ.Lent is a time of preparation for Easter – when God rescued and redeemed His children through Jesus’ suffering, death, and victory. It begins on Ash Wednesday on February 18 and leads us on a 40-day journey toward Easter Sunday on April 5.While Easter is widely celebrated, many of us have never set aside time to observe the entire season of Lent. Yet, this season offers us a profound opportunity to slow down, examine our hearts, and remember our dependence on God’s mercy. Each day, we are invited to direct our attention to the only thing that truly satisfies our deepest longings – Jesus Christ.
