The NFL schedule is out. National voices are already saying it will be the first losing season since 2003 – something that has been said for most of this decade and has yet to happen. However, all of those years were under Mike Tomlin and this time it is Mike McCarthy. Poni thinks it will be a losing season. Poni is also confused as to why people are so obsessive over the 1 pm start time because more primetime games mean more relevance. A few calls to gave Poni advice on his upcoming trip to Disney. Nick thinks it will be a surprise if Aaron Rodgers shows up for the first day of OTAs on Monday. He is circling mandatory minicamp on June 2. Which QB will Mike McCarthy spend more time with next week? Nick said the schedule shouldn’t be one that makes the Steelers upset because it’s nothing like 2024, when the end of their schedule was laid out like crazy with 3 games in 11 days. He likes the Week 9 bye, right in the middle of the season. Nick expects a ‘normal’ Steelers season with 9 or 10 wins and a Wild Card loss.
