House Theory Thursday-Wild Horse GC vs. Pinehurst No. 4!

Two great public courses here are being matched up today for a little house theory action!It's been a little while since we've done a house theory, but boy are we excited to be back. The common thread here between these two courses is public golf, and great public golf at that. Wild Horse is in the middle of nowhere and is the best/only game in town whereas Pinehurst No. 4 is surrounded by other great courses and is likely a bit overshadowed by others. That said, these courses both receive high marks on house theory. Which is to say working well for their environment within the scope of what the architects working with. Like a great house, a golf course and it's features should be in harmony with the overall environment and shouldn't clash.
