This young entrepreneur started by selling her first cake at 15 years old and started her business. She opened her storefront five years later on Main Street in St. Charles.Starting a business at 15 years old made her grow up fast but savor every moment of the craziness.  "Running a business is one of the hardest and most gratifying things that I have ever done! Everyday it is exciting to wake up and live out my dream with people that love sugar just as much as me," said Lydia. Lydia specializes in the decorating of custom cakes along with cupcakes. Being a self-taught baker, she can pretty much make any design work She tells us how she had to learn the many requirements of an entrepreneur to hiring employees, marketing, facilities, financing and planning for growth. A great challenge for someone who had never worked anywhere.
