How to Be an Effective Online Teacher - PPD067

from PodcastPD

Featured ContentOn Sunday, March 15, 2020, we hosted a live broadcast on our YouTube channel to facilitate a conversation around online teaching and learning. Many schools throughout the United States and around the world are being forced to close in response to the COVID-19 virus. Educators who have never taught online or conducted virtual learning for students are being asked to use technology they’re not familiar with and provide instruction in a way that will be new for their students. This episode is longer than usual and that’s OK because we took ‘calls’ during our live stream and people shared information in the chat as well. As a result of the overwhelmingly positive response, we are going to go live again on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 8:30 PM Eastern to continue this conversation and provide an outlet for reflection and growth.Special thanks to the following people who appeared on the show and talked about a variety of topics:Shivan Persaud – @ShivanPersadEDUGreg Bagby – @GregbagbyKevin Carroll – @Kevin_Carroll_Nathan Nagele – @MrNageleAl Spiegel – @AlSpiegelDerek Larson – @lars3ebRon Grosinger – @RonGrosingerBruce Reicher – @breicherDan Kreiness – @dkreiness
