Summary
Demonstrating confidence in your work setting is an important element of being successful. In most workplaces, you’re involved with multiple people on any given day, such as your supervisor, other managers, and various co-workers. You likely want to not only appear as if you know what you’re doing, but actually know what you’re doing. How you conduct yourself on a day-to-day basis demonstrates to those around you what kind of worker you are and, indeed, what kind of person you are. There will be times when you’ll have to ask others for assistance with tasks or maybe even assign them special projects. It is during those exchanges that you’ll especially want to show others your confidence in doing your best job possible. How can you ensure that you demonstrate confidence at work? How to: Be Productive NOT Busy
Release Date: 05/28/2022
Description: How to Make the Most of Limited Resources Most people feel there are not enough resources to complete work. As a result, they procrastinate. In today's competitive world, it's essential to make the best use of your day. When working in a team, you need to collaborate with others for the best results. However, it would be best if you didn't have to waste too much time on things that aren't your strength – such as time coordination. It’s important to find effective strategies to help you manage your time effectively. First, schedule tasks. That allows you to plan your day and manage your tasks. When you have clearly defined goals for the day, you can also ensure that you don't spend too much time on unimportant tasks. What more can you do to make the most of limited resources? Try these techniques: 1. Set priorities on tasks and see the results. It's easy to get caught up in the latest task that pops up. However, if you don't have a clear plan to spend your time, you'll waste it on things you don't need. Prioritize tasks and establish whether or not a task is worth your time. This tip might sound obvious, but you don't know how often it gets overlooked when you have a lot on your plate and are trying to finish everything. 2.Pull your energy back from tasks that don't add value. Finding easy, short tasks to complete will help you pull your energy away from tasks that aren't 1 adding value. Say no to things that aren't important and focus on tasks that do matter. And the truth is, you can't do everything. When you stop yourself from working on tasks that don't add value, you can focus on what matters more. The goal isn't to neglect those tasks, though. This is the time to delegate. Consider using platforms like Slack, Asana, or Trello for better organization. 3.Keep communication lines open. When team members are working on a project, keeping them in the loop is essential. Give them access to tools that allow them to give feedback to you instantly. Create a project management tool like Asana or Trello and share it with your team. This process will enable you to inform your teammates about progress, ask for their feedback, and delegate tasks. Effective communication also means ensuring that everyone is on the same page. And for times when they seem a bit lackluster, good communication can motivate them to keep going. 4. Always keep an eye on your costs. Money is always a significant consideration during a project. If you have a plan in mind, analyze the available financial resources. A period of limited resources means you'll have a tight budget. And with a tight budget, every cent counts. Therefore, always keep an eye on your spending. Before purchasing anything, ask yourself if the item will help you achieve your aims. Also, remember to consider the fact that unexpected expenses are always possible. Accordingly, include a few backup plans into your budgeting. 5.Consider investing in automation to save resources and boost effectiveness. Just as it's important to delegate tasks that don't directly add value, it's critical to identify essential functions that you can easily automate. Consider hiring an automation expert to help you identify both tasks to automate and which jobs you can eliminate. We live at a time that heralds 2 a new age of automation. Use apps that allow you to automate sensitive processes and eliminate the need for tedious manual work. Make the most of the time. When you have limited resources, it's more important than ever to make the most of them. Monitor your spending, prioritize tasks according to their impact on your goals, and establish good lines of communication with your team. Learn how to automate tasks you can easily automate and delegate tasks that aren't adding much value. Using these strategies will enable you to do more with fewer resources. #podcast #entreprneur #spotify #apple #iTunes --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/wayne-weathersby/support
