NBCFC's Podcast Nicky Van Der Westhuzien NBCFC was birthed in 2004 with 30 people in a little creche in Germiston, South Africa. When Apostle Nicky and Prophet Lillian started the church, all they had was a Word and a dream. That was all they needed. From the very small beginning, God started expanding us and we moved into an old Baptist church with 140 seats. In 2010, the Lord spoke to our visionary leaders to build a 1000-seater auditorium in the middle of Freeway Park, Boksburg. Crazy, hey? Well, with only 300 members God provided the finances to build a 1000-seater auditorium in the middle of recession. That's right! In the middle of recession we built a 30 million-rand building, debt-free. Now NBCFC has expanded with 2 locations, an online church, a Bible College, and 4000 members strong. We believe that God has called us to activate this generation in God's supernatural power. The best is yet to come!OUR VALUES1. WE BELIEVE IN THE SUPERNATURAL POWER OF GOD.2. SOULS ARE OUR MAIN CONCERN.3. WE ARE A FAMILY CHURCH.4 The Well-th Report Hightower Advisors The Well-th Report is a monthly podcast by registered investment advisor (RIA) Hightower Advisors. Our advisors strive to bring holistic financial planning to each client to help them realize their personal definition of wealth. Through this podcast, we hope to bring thoughtful perspectives and helpful information to anyone interested in financial planning or topics relevant to living a “well-thy” life. Talking Strategy, Making History Richard Flacks Each episode will focus on a different aspect or example of the general theme. Our kick-off frame is the awkward position that progressives find themselves in. It seems obvious, at least to a significant portion of Leftists, that “working within the Democratic Party” has to be part of any realistic strategy for making substantive, social democratic or radical change in the United States. What is far less clear is what this means practically, in terms of organization and elections. For many years, the slogan of the Left has been to work both “inside and outside” the Democratic Party. But what does that “inside” part actually look like? The podcast project comes from our experience as progressive activists--and from the urgency of now. Dick Flacks taught sociology at UC Santa Barbara and Umiversity of Chicago for 60 years. He's of the founding generation of Students for a Democratic Society and helped write the Port Huron Statement (along with Tom Hayden and the big Lebowski).
