Summary

In this talk from the archives, Swami Satchidananda explains how by constantly running after wants and desires, we sacrifice our inner peace and joy. By continually chasing after wants, we will never find happiness. This is the deep teaching of the path of Karma Yoga, in which one lives a life of giving not running after things. He also clarifies how by giving, we don’t “gain” happiness because happiness is our true nature. The way to not lose our happiness is by not running after non-existent happiness.
