You stay faithful by making WORSHIPING God your PRIORITY. A. Worship God PERSONALLY (INDIVIDUALLY) v.16 B. Worship God PASSIONATELY (INTENSELY) v.16 – leaping and dancing. C. Worship God PURPOSELY (INTENTIONALLY) v.17 How To Stay FAITHFUL Through Your FINISH LINE, PT. 2 1. You stay faithful by WORSHIPING God WHEREVER you are. 2 Samuel 6:16-17 (NLT2) – But as the Ark of the LORD entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she was filled with contempt for him. 17 They brought the Ark of the LORD and set it in its place inside the special tent David had prepared for it. And David sacrificed burnt offerings and peace offerings to the LORD. John 4:21-24 (ESV) – Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” 1. You stay faithful by WORSHIPING God WHEREVER you are. A. Jesus changes WHERE we can WORSHIP. B. Jesus defines HOW we are to WORSHIP. C. Jesus informs us of the REASON for WORSHIP. Mark 12:29-30 (ESV) – Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’” Acts 17:28 (NLT2) – For in him we live and move and exist.
