How to Use Blurt Media Part 1
from OpenSourceStudio · host Unkle Bonehead
BlurtMedia is a audio/video sharing platform that has blurred the lines between web2, web 2.5 and web3 into one cohesive platform. Users can interact with the content creators and other users across the different platforms. You can log in with Blurt, Dero, Fediverse, Hive or Nostr and comment on any video. The comments are cross platform so a Blurt user can have their comment seen and responded to by someone on Nostr and vice versa. The votes on the comments are not cross platform though, AFAIK. For the content consumer: Viewing/listening to content Discover page Trending page Recently added page Commenting Subscribing to content. Using the Fediverse (ActivityPub) Using good old RSS (including podcasting 2.0) Using a web3 platform (Blurt, Hive, Nostr) Downloading content. Yes you can download the videos! Regular audio/video BitTorrent and magnet links Playlists Creating playlists Sharing playlists For the content creator: Your Peertube account Settings Notifications Import/Export Applications Moderation My Videos page My Subscriptions page My History In part 2 I will go over some things extra things about BLurt Media and throw out a lot of little tips for creators who want to post audio/video media on Blurt.
