from Howcee Productions Gospel · host Freddie C. Howard
JOHN 4:19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. A. Jesus’ initial contact with a Samaritan woman (John 4:7-8). I. INTRODUCTION. Imagine a strict Jew needing to travel from Galilee in the north to Judaea in the south. They would avoid going through Samaria because they wouldn’t want to become ceremoniously defiled. Instead, they would cross the Jordan River and travel on the eastern side to bypass Samaria. But Jesus deliberately chose to go through Samaria to reach an unsaved Samaritan woman. This week’s lesson text is an instructive passage for evangelists and indeed for all believers who are seeking to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ.
