I don't wanna go - Doctor Who and Autism series - With Ellie

from Crohn's and Autism Awareness Advocate · host Mason Milne

Today I am joined with Ellie who was diagnosed with Autism when she was 3 years old and she has 2 brothers who are autistic too. We have a good conversation about Doctor Who and Autism.  Ellie opens up about her mental health, we also share stories of bullying experiences in school and knowing the Doctor wouldn't stand for that. We talks about relating Autism into Doctor Who knowing lots of autistic people love the show. We say it would be amazing to see an autistic actor be the Doctor one day or a character in Doctor Who. We talk about the scariest of monsters in Doctor Who. David tennant the 10th Doctor is Ellie's favourite Doctor! Ellie's favourite quote she relates too is... "I don't wanna go" episode title "End of Time part 2" Ellie relates because when you are on holiday and you do something you enjoy you never really ant to leave or go. And we admit this being in David Tennant's leaving speech we both cried in 2010 when this happened.   Thank you again Ellie!
