from Poesía con voz -Emiliano Martín- Podcasts
"If I Were a Carpenter" is a classic and popular American song. A theme song was composed by American songwriter Tim Harin, who in 1960 had no choice but to wait for someone to sing his wonderful song. No surprise there. The song was released and recorded in April of 1966 by the great Bobby Daring and he was able to make it a hit all over the U.S.A. Soon, it was taken by storm as a popular song, and many other artists of that time used the melody and lyrics as an important emblem of American popular music. Numerous artists have made covers of this beautiful song. Now, Emiliano Martín recites the lyrics, accompanied by the music of the song itself. This is for the listeners of "Poesía con Voz."
