Your midday Illinois weather update Multiple flood alerts are active across Illinois today as a significant storm system approaches, bringing heavy rain and potential severe weather to much of the state this afternoon and evening. Right now we're enjoying a mild morning with temperatures climbing through the 60s, but this calm won't last long. By 3 P.M., we'll hit our high of 76 degrees with southwest winds picking up ahead of the storms.
