The Night Death Passed OverThe tenth plague is the hinge on which all of Israel’s history turns. God announces what is coming with terrible clarity: every firstborn in Egypt will die. But He also provides a way of escape—a lamb, slaughtered at twilight, its blood painted on the doorposts. This is not magic; it is obedience made visible. The lamb dies so the household lives.
