Importance of having idols in life

Often in our life we are drawn to certain people or characters ,who leave a deep impact on our both spiritual and emotional selves.We try to look like them alter our appearance , our way of thinking , the way we carry ourselves etc .This kind of impact can be very short term or can imprint you for the life time I personally have been influenced many times in my life , sometimes It was cringey , sometimes knowledgeable, sometimes a life lesson etc but surely they have shaped my personality and the person I am right now. One can find themselves in a dark side of life or sometimes in an ambitious plan or craving the purpose of life (multiple emotions) . You wonder how these people you idolise would have done , in this position ? You consciously or subconsciously try to find and the answers from them.
