Improving assessment of functioning for all children: The new National Framework

This episode introduces the National Framework for assessing children's functional strengths and support needs in Australia and how it can be used to improve policy and practice. It is relevant for practitioners, parents and policy makers. Presented by: Prof David Trembath was co-chair of the team that developed the National Framework. With a background in speech pathology, he brings to his work over 25 years of clinical, clinical education, and clinical-research experience including co-leadership of the development and update of two National Clinical Guidelines.Dr Rachelle Wicks is a neurodivergent Research Fellow, with a background in psychology and early childhood education and development. Rachelle was a core member of the team that developed the Framework, and is leading its cross-sector implementation in the community.
