Vivian Green: Meet the Musician Apple R&B singer Vivian Green talks about her recently released album, Get Right Back to My Baby. Vivian—whose earlier smash singles Emotional Rollercoaster and Gotta Go, Gotta Leave established her as an R&B heavyweight—brings a fresh, upbeat sound to her fifth studio album. Vivian will also take questions and end the evening with a short performance. Mistress America: Meet the Filmmaker Apple Director–writer Noah Baumbach and writer and actor Greta Gerwig discuss Mistress America. The comedy follows Tracy (Kirke), a lonely college freshman failing to live the glamorous, exciting life in New York she expected—until she's taken in by her zany soon-to-be stepsister, Brooke (Gerwig), and her alluringly mad schemes. The Green Elephant in the Room: Solutions To Restoring the Health of People and the Living Planet Rico Verde We all know about the doom and gloom associated with environmental issues. We need to tell ourselves a new story. Instead let's talk about energy independence, green jobs, livable cities, clean water, clean air, and healthy children. This is where politics, perceptions, and life-style meet the catastrophe that is unfolding in front of our eyes. Here's a suggestion — subscribe, tune-in, and stop doom-scrolling. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight Unknown Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a late 14th-century Middle English alliterative romance outlining an adventure of Sir Gawain, a knight of King Arthur's Round Table. In the tale, Sir Gawain accepts a challenge from a mysterious warrior who is completely green, from his clothes and hair to his beard and skin. The "Green Knight" offers to allow anyone to strike him with his axe if the challenger will take a return blow in a year and a day. Gawain accepts, and beheads him in one blow, only to have the Green Knight stand up, pick up his head, and remind Gawain to meet him at the appointed time. The story of Gawain's struggle to meet the appointment and his adventures along the way demonstrate the spirit of chivalry and loyalty. (Wikipedia) This 20th Century rendering is by WA Neilson.
