Inconvenience Might Be Your Greatest Blessing

from Ya Girl Renae | Reflection · host Ya Girl Renae

Sometimes we get so caught up in what’s going wrong that we completely miss what God is actually doing. God ministered something powerful to me today: our inconveniences are often our greatest blessings. We don’t like discomfort. We don’t like delays. We don’t like when life shifts in ways we didn’t plan. But just because something feels inconvenient doesn’t mean it isn’t intentional. Think about this… There are moments in life where everything seems to be going “right”—traveling, spending money, being around people, enjoying life. But even in all of that, something can still be missing: a real, deep connection with God. Sometimes, it takes a disruption to bring alignment. There was a woman who lived a full life on the outside—traveling, socializing, constantly moving—but she never slowed down enough to truly seek God. Then one day, she became very sick. And in that moment, everything changed. What once distracted her was stripped away. And in that stillness, she found something greater. She began to pray. She began to read. She began to trust. She began to know God—not just hear about Him. What looked like a breaking point became a turning point. Now hear this clearly: God is not saying you have to reach rock bottom to find Him. But the truth is, sometimes it takes more to get some people’s attention than others. Not every hardship leads to destruction. Some hardships lead to transformation. Even the small things we overlook carry purpose. You might get a flat tire and feel frustrated but what if that delay protected you from something you never saw coming? You might feel led to go somewhere at a random time and not understand why—but what if your presence changed something, or even saved someone? You may never get the full explanation—and that’s okay. Because faith isn’t about knowing every detail. It’s about trusting that God does. Even when people talk about you.Even when life feels unfair.Even when things don’t make sense. It is still working for your good. What feels like an inconvenience may actually be divine protection. What feels like a delay may actually be divine timing. What feels like a struggle may actually be your pathway to glory. So instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?”Try asking, “God, what are You doing through me in this moment?” Because nothing is wasted.Nothing is random. And nothing is without purpose. Even this… is working for you.
