He is a world class scholar and is a pioneer in the study of how indigenous people, the world over, relate to the cosmos, saw the celestial realm and provided prehistoric astronomical observatories as sun, moon, and star watchers. These activities are of course memorialized in rock art and in rock features constructed on the land to view the heavens and predict important seasonal changes in the sky world.
