Communication is at the centre of our daily engagement. It's an essential skill in business dealings, family affairs and in the work environment. An absence or breakdown of communication can put even the best relationships in serious Jeopardy.

On the show, this week to discuss 'Interpersonal Communication in the Workplace' is Favour Eze, an HR professional with loads of experience in Human Resource Management and Organisation.

To communicate effectively, Favour stressed the need to understand the context in which the communication is happening in the first place.

The importance of interpersonal communication in the workplace is to ensure that all parties involved are in agreement to achieve the set goal or objective.

The workplace is a structured environment with set rules and regulations. She advised that young people getting into the corporate world should understand the work culture in the place where they work because different organisations abide by different rules.

How you communicate is as important as what you say.

This episode will guide you as you take your journey through the structured work environment.
