International Women’s Day

Today is International Women’s Day. The UN has declared that the theme this year is “Planet 50-50 by 2030, Step It Up for Gender Equality”. With the theme this year, the focus will look at fast tracking the momentum of the implementation of the new sustainable goals. The focus this year will be not only look at equality for women, but also will look at how to empower young girls in areas such as inclusive and quality education and protection of their rights.
