Interview with Coach and Entrepreneur Candice Bakx-Friesen

from Career Journeys: Follow Your Passion & Intuition to Find Fulfillment · host Megan Johnson-Rox

I talk with Candice Bakx-Friesen who is a realtor and started a money coaching business called Investor Smarts. She shares the challenges of work-life balance, being a working mother and entrepreneur, and the stigma or fear of being labeled a failure for trying something like a job or starting a business and realizing it's not for you and quitting to try something else. It's interesting how our jobs are so often tied to our identity and when we lose a job or find ourselves no longer fulfilled in a job, and/or want to change careers, we can have an identity crisis. We are more than what we do for a living. And our values, interests and needs change in different phases of our lives. Telling people what you want and are looking for is necessary in a successful career change. There is no one size fits all path for finding your ideal job or starting a business.  You can find Candice's business site, Investor Smarts here: investorsmarts.ca  Here is Candice's bio:  She is a Canadian woman entrepreneur, real estate agent, sales trainer, certified money coach, public speaker and mother of 4. Candice is passionate about helping people reach their financial dreams. She has been a real estate investor since 2001. Her candid approach to business and affinity for getting past the fluff and getting to the root of each challenge for her clients has led to her becoming a highly sought-after coach within the finance and real estate industries.
