Investigation continuing into suspected arson attack in Sligo

An investigation is continuing into a suspected arson attack in Sligo.Two vehicles were reportedly set alight in the Emmet Place area of the town in the early hours of this morning.Both Gardai and the fire service attended the scene and the fire was eventually brought under control and the area made safe.The two vehicles were destroyed in the blaze and a number of nearby homes were also damaged.No injuries were reported.Gardai have described the incident as criminal damage by fire and say that investigations are ongoing.Speaking to Ocean FM news, People Before Profit Cllr Gino O'Boyle appealed to anyone with information to come forward:
