IS AGE JUST A NUMBER?

Does age really matter that much in dating/relationship? Do couples with large age gaps experience poorer relationship outcomes? What is an acceptable range when it comes to our own relationships? What if age has nothing to do with the success of a relationship, which much rather depends on the extent to which partners share similar values, goals and lifestyles? So is age just a number? We are not subject matter experts and not trying to find the right answers.
