ITC: 120 - Are You Giving Extra Credit? Should You?

Why would you want to give students extra assignments when they cannot complete the regular assignments? I am of the opinion that you can create your course in a manner in which students will not need extra credit. I am not alone in this opinion. Rather than have students do additional assignments, have them improve upon the assignments they have already completed.
