ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:
“To live is Christ and to die is gain.” You and I would likely be quick to admit that life here on a sinful earth can be nowhere near as good as life in the perfection of heaven. Yet, between the two, Paul says “I can’t choose” even though he knows the one is better by far. That’s because Paul knew that if he continued living, he would have more fruitful labor ahead of him to proclaim Christ to more people. If he died, he would be ushered to Jesus’ side because of Jesus’ resurrection. Paul was torn between two wonderful options, and so are we. We know that Christ will be exalted in our life, or in our death! The name of Christ be praised!
